Property Management System Upgrade Project
For this project I needed to create an eLearning course highlighting a hospitality property management system upgrade that would generate excitement among users and alleviate any fears for property owners and managers that might consider the transition to a new interface both difficult to understand, and costly to train employees currently using the system.
The Course
Introduction:
- I created an upbeat introduction quickly displaying the brand new look of the system and discussing added features that employees would love including new categories and section headings, and centralized department access.
- Immediately emphasized the simplicity of the changes and how the 2 systems were very similar to operate.
Instruction:
- Short, defined sections of chunked content
- All changes and additions were covered through several short application demonstrations.
- Took users through brief simulations on familiar system applications, such as online booking, to show the similarities more than the differences.
- Highlighted subtle changes when necessary, “The process button has been moved to the top of the page.”
